About my craft

To me, a creative skill or craft is just a medium to put out what you want to see in the world. I’ve had quite an interesting full circle moment in hindsight how hair entered my world. It’s beyond cliche to say having the opportunity to do hair for the last 10+ years has truly enriched my life for the better. Besides being able to hone my craft in hairdressing, I get to connect with and have a thread in the community on a different level. I offer my clients cleaner low-toxic products that are personally used and tested, no gatekeeping!

I love layered and textured cuts, I’ve specialize in straight razor cutting for 10 years - although I still use my scissors, carving organic layers that work with your natural growth pattern is my favorite. I work really well with wavy, coarse, thick, and fine hair!

When it comes to color, I enjoy soft blended highlights, platinum, and avant garde vivid colors.

  • Scalp care is so important to me. You can count on me to analyze your scalp and provide the appropriate scalp facial or treatment remedy.

  • I’ve owned and operated a micro salon collective for 4 years, and with that wisdom I now opened a solo studio that caters to all my clients who might want a bit of tender care apart from a busy multi-chair salon in a safe relaxed space for us all.

  • LGBTQ and POC welcomed and embraced.

  • Folks who dress more modestly - my ladies who wear hijabs to the front! We can have as much or as little privacy as we need for your hair appointment. We’re inclusive here.

  • Folks who want a relaxing environment with low auditory and sensory, I’ve created this space with you in mind.

  • Quiet appointments are honored and encouraged if you want to get some reading done (we have a cute little book collection but feel free to BYOBook), overwhelmed, or just want a more “ASMR” experience.

  • I’m also reintroducing community sliding scale days each month as I know these handful of years have been devastating for a lot of us, I want to remove some barriers so you can feel good so you can crush your next interview, presentation, show, or possibly prevent a hair crash out!!

I value and cherish each texture, shape, and shade, I can’t wait to meet you.

… And to my existing clients, thank you so much for supporting me and being my favorite part of doing hair.

The best hair is healthy hair.

Natural & Effortless

The more you resist what’s natural, the greater the struggle. Go with the flow.

Policy

If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, We require 48 hours notice to avoid being charged 50% of the original service booked. If you are over 15 mins late, that is considered a reschedule/cancellation. Appointments with shorter duration time like toners, bangs trims, consultations, and bang trims have a 5 min grace period.

Hairdressers charge for time each service has an allotted time frame - it can cause a negative domino effect for the rest of the day for clients after you and the stylist’s ability to provide the service you deserve. If you are late to your appointment but within the grace period, we may have to skip your wash or style to make up for time. If you have a cold, cough or any contagious symptoms, you must reschedule for everyone’s safety. If you have been feeling under the weather please do not wait until the last minute to see if you’ll feel better, it’s best to reschedule sooner than later to avoid the cancellation policy.

Just like any appointment based service provider - the same policy applies to all clients, no exceptions.

If you have an emergency, please contact me asap.

Hairstylists run on a reservation/time based system. Thank you for considering our wellness and work-balance!

Redos or adjustments:

It is my top priority to know that my clients are happy with their hair. If there is any need for adjustment please reach out to me within 7 days of rendered service, otherwise it would be booked as a new service. Please get in contact via email Saera.Hur@gmail.com
